How I Wish You Were Here

i was jus watchin My girl2..i love that movie for many reasons. And then the old fears came back, wat if i cant love my kids wen i hav my own? wat if i get tired of them jus like i get tired of people easily? wat if i cant feel anything for them?
Im the most unfeeling person i think..n wat if i carry that attitude to my kids?
Wat am i searching for?

I think i wanna feel.Maybe ive wanted to be numb earlier and now wen i am, i wanna feel something.Or maybe i never really ever felt anyhting, but jus pretended to cos i was so scared that i am unable to feel.
See, all my earlier relationships have been only bout the initial rush.Maybe i expect too much from people and relationships including my family. i want them behave in the manner i believe apt.which is y i am dissapointed in everybody.
Since its christmas lets talk bout god.My relationship wit god has been pretty much the same.I expect him to be just and fair and all that stuff, but as i figure if we wer made in his image he cant be too perfect.Did i give up on god cos he doesn behave the way i want him to? not exactly.Givin room for error i jus expected him to do FEW things rite...
But the master of puppets is on a high this season, ladies and gentlemen, sit tight.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

hee hee...i love fountainhead!!i love the conflict and the almost perfection and righteousness of howard roark...of course i like the character of dominique francon, reminds me of well...me!
i somehow hated toohey cos he seemed a bit too human, so sweet that he could kill you because he actually has a plan. And remem dominique and roark also had expectations even tho they liked bringing each other down.

Hmm i think u tend to look emtions a bit differently wen u grow older..somehwer u gain hope n realise u don wanna be comfortably numb anymore and u wanna rock the boat to c if u r alive.

Love ur attitude da, u rock!
Happy New Year to u too!

Came by your blog from The One's blog.

I can soooo relate to what you wrote! I face the exact same problems, and seem to have a tough time learning from these. One would've thought that the no of time I got kicked for having such high expectations, I would've have learned to expect a lil less, but no sireee!!! Not me!!! :(

Just passed on your blog's link to another a of mine, she too suffers from the same "problem"

wellll!!! I agree that as humans, its a basic trait to expect. But my problem is expecting ppl to behave the way I do in a certain situation. That obv doesnt happen and disappoints me. For a long while in between, I was able to reign in my expectations. In fact I was able to bring it down to a naught. But of late I find myself going back to expecting the world out of everyone :(

Funnily enough, this happens only in relationships or with the potentials ;) With friends, of either gender, I am able to keep my expectations under check. he he!

Interesting piece. Very rhetoric, and surprisingly mature.

hee hee..no da me mal..but kno mal, tamil n kanda cos my dad from cbe.
hmm u kno wat i think every one has multiple personalities..sometimes, in some situations v r like howard and in some v r like peter..depends on r intrinsic and individual differences.
we r all rarely black or white v all hav shades of grey, which is y roark is not completely perfect.it wud have defeated the purpose of the book if the characters didn hav realistic shades tho some people believe that no man like roark exists.
